AHHHH
I'm so sorry for my absence! I've been swept away in a sea of midterms, papers, proposals, and declarations. The only running I've been doing lately is from class to class, and I've been huffing and puffing, which isn't a good sign.
I WILL START THIS WEEKEND- when I can finally be a human being!
I miss you, and I hope you are taking care of yourself! I really can't wait to see you during Thanksgiving!!
Love,
Tiffany

Tiffany,
Less formal writing now. On Sunday, I went running in San Marino. It's been a long time since I've gone running somewhere that wasn't Walnut. It was great! Quick 2 mile run, though it really felt like one mile.
Richard (brother) asked me the other day if I wanted to run a half-marathon with him in February. I said yes! So, it'd be nice to see if I can do that.
With love,
Rachel
ps. let me know the date you'll be heading down and which airport you need me to pick you up at! Can't wait!

On Your Mark, Ready...
Dear Tiffany,
Like I've said, I don't want to run when I'm feeling down. One motivational thought we should use to get us in the mood to run is that running can become our form of escapism. It is an short moment of escape where we can reclaim ourselves and be content with what we've got. Though, I don't want to rely on this notion of thinking because in the end I just want us to become consistent runners.
The first day of our training should begin when you come back down to Walnut. We should start this off together!
Your friend,
Rachel
